For the people reviewing this as a shower, it is not meant to be one. No where in the description of the product or on the box does it mention it's designed to be a shower. That's about all I can say to defend the Stansport Cabana. It's poorly made and difficult to put up for one person. The door is hard to zip close at the top because of the tension on the poles. The poles feel like they are going to break when assembling it. There are two windows at about waist level on the sides for limited ventilation and none at the top. And if you close the two windows for privacy, you'll have no ventilation. The shelter doesn't have a floor in it. That may be a plus or minus for you depending on how you are using it. We sent it back.

It was really easy to assemble - I did it by myself but would have been easier with 2 people. The staking loops make it nice and secure. I used it for a privacy/porta potty closet so don't know if it would support a shower bag up top, it seems sturdy enough though. but since the bottom is open, I would definitely give it a try. there's a mesh pocket inside for your soap or whatever, so that would be handy. it is also nice and tall - i'm 5"9 and there was plenty of room!

After doing a lot of research on Amazon and the internet, I went with the Stansport Cabana Privacy Shelter. Many of the reviews for other shelters complained of how brittle the supports are and although these "can be" brittle if used incorrectly, they went up without a hitch. All of the support rods are tied together inline with a small piece of bungee cord. For example, you have the side supports which are 4 pieces long. They are all tied together end-to-end with that bungee cord so there is no mistaking what this fully-assembled piece is. Same thing on the roof supports and bottom supports.
Doing this by myself it took less than 10 minutes to read the directions and put this together. It was slightly awkward doing it by myself...it would have been a little easier with 2 people but it's definitely doable with one person.
I will be using this privacy shelter for a bathroom for concerts, events, etc. so I don't have to worry about the shower issue that many other reviewers complain about. I have to admit, it would probably be an issue hanging 5 pounds from the top of this shelter as it may put extra stress on the supports but it works perfectly for my intended purpose.
The tent has a nice green color with tan accents (mainly where the support rods slip through) and there is a large opening on the front. There are 2 zippers...one that unzips the bottom section from left to right and an arc zipper that unzips from the upper left to the lower right. I attached a lanyard to the zippers just so they would be a little easier to find. The zipper ends are not tiny, but they're not oversized either. Probably a little bigger than your standard zipper on a pair of jeans.
The shelter has its own bag, the support rods have their own extra thick bag and the ground stakes have their own bag. I was able to get everything packed back into the original packaging with ease.
Overall, I highly recommend this privacy shelter unless you need the shower option.
"use it as an "outhouse"" 2010-07-14By
private pooperBought this for camping to put a portable toilet in and I think it is great. When putting it together you have to start with the top poles, and it needs 2 people to bend the poles to fit together, but it sets up fairly easily and it it quite roomy and sturdy.

Easy setup once you try it a couple of times. Cracked one of the poles on the second setup but it still works. I bought it as a weather cover for my telescope. Light weight and size is just right. Easy to pick up and move. It does "fly" when the wind picks up. Use stronger stakes if winds exceed 15 MPH. Good value for the price.
