I purchased this knife because I was looking for a small, well-made knife that didn't look like I was trying to be a street fighter. It fits my hand well, is extremely sharp, and, with the speed-assist, is fun to open. I only wish it weighed a little less, but then I've been spoiled by my larger knife, which is twice as long and weighs the same as the chive.

I returned this knife because I didn't like the one-handed release mechanisism. However, this is probably just a personal gripe and the knife seems to be of the same excellent quality as other Kershaw knives I own.

Mostly, I would like to comment on Amazon's outstanding return policy. I do most of my shopping on-line and have learned that almost anything can be ordered through Amazon. I like the easy-to-use website and the security Amazon provides. I've had to return a few items and Amazon has made that incredibly easy to do. Amazon has made a repeat customer of me.

I had it out of the box maybe a minute, and while chatting and trying to close this knife I grazed the inside of my index finger knuckle.
I thought the blood would never clot.
It's a handy little pocket knife; I bought a Leek version too that I immediately dropped on a concrete floor and broke just the very tip of it.
I find this all very comical now, so I share it with you. A great knife at a great price.

I recently purchased this knife from a friend, who got it from a friend, who got it from a friend who got it in 2003. I have to say, for being 7 years old this knife works like new. The speed safe still has a "kick" to it and the blade takes and holds a nice edge. I am very impressed with Kershaw and the quality products they make. I highly recommend this knife, as it will last you for many years to come.
