I bought this item a year ago so I wouldn't have to rely on non-recyclable plastic utensils, and it works incredibly well. The pieces separate easily, the knife is on the spoon half (so you can use the knife and fork at the same time), and it all folds into a very small size. My only gripe is that the knife doesn't arrive very sharp, but a little work with a sharpening stone quickly fixes that. Well worth the money, and highly recommended.

Michael T. LybargerYou can buy cheaper combo utensils. But, these are worth the difference. They are light, fit in the 5 piece mess kits, and are reasonably light. They are a good size, and feel substantial, but not heavy in your hands. They are easy to clean, and easy to separate and rejoin. Definitely nice to dine at camp with. The plastic sides feel well attached, and when joined together, they have a solid feel if you only want to use one of the utensils. Be careful of the knife when you get it, it is definitely sharp.

I love this product. It is very small and light weight. It can even fit in your pocket if you wanted. Now, don't let the size fool you. This really works well and it is easy to use. Knife, fork and spoon... all together. If you are looking for a great and small utensil set for camping, this is your product. I am very happy I made this purchase.

CamperI bought this to use with addition to my aluminum mess kit made by Coleman. It Is very compact and effective. at times it can be hard to clean but at home you can just pop it in the dish washer. The knife is a little hard to get out but is great to have(I no longer have to use my knife). I also think they way that they separate is really nice. As a bonus they fit into the mess kit's pot that I mentioned above. All in all it was a good kit that I will faithfully carry in the woods.

1) open both the fork and spoon
2) put your two hands on either side of the set
3) pop it apart. (push the fork and spoon towards each other, sorta.)
